Slide Fire

Damages:

- An estimated 272 homes have been burned in the Slide Fire area and 43 damaged.

Evacuations:

- Voluntary evacuations continue for Arrowhead communites including Grass Valley, Crestline, Cedar Pines Park, Lake Gregory and Valley of Enchantment.

- Running Springs area changed to voluntary evacuation at 6 AM Nov 1. 

Road Closures:

- Hwy 330 reopened at 6 am Thursday, Nov. 1. Hwy 18 will open to Green Valley Lake Road as of 6 am Thursday. Hwy 18 from Green Valley Lake road will remain closed from to the Big Bear Dam until Friday when it will open all the way at noon.

- Voluntary evacuations continue for Crestline, Cedar Pines Park, Lake Gregory and Valley of Enchantment.

- Evacuation Centers are located at National Orange Show in San Bernardino and the Victorville Fairgrounds in Victorville.

Road Closures:

- Hwy 330 remains closed.

- Hwy 18 is open to residents of Crestline, and Arrowhead areas.

- Hwy 18 is closed from the Junction of Kuffel Canyon Rd. in the Skyforest Area to Snow Valley Ski Area.

- Evacuation Centers are located at National Orange Show in San Bernardino and the Victorville Fairgrounds in Victorville.

Road Closures:

- All highways west of Big Bear Dam: 138, 18 and 330.

- Hwy 18 to 40th St., 330 bottom (Highland) to top.

- All highways in the San Bernardino Mountains west of Big Bear Dam are closed to upbound traffic. Access to Big Bear is via Hwy 38 from I-10 in Redlands or from Hwy 18 through the Hi-Desert in Lucerne Valley.

Grass Valley Fire

- 174 structures destroyed and 25 structures damaged.

Evacuations:

- All residents are allowed to return from Crestline to Arrowbear inclduing Grass Valley. These areas remain under voluntary evacuation.

Road Closures:
- Hwy 330 re-opened at 6 AM. Hwy 18 is closed from Green Valley Lake Rd. To Big Bear Dam.

- Access to Big Bear is available from Hwy 38 via the I-10 as well as via Hwy 18 through the Hi-Desert in Lucerne Valley.

Evacuations:

- The mandatory evacuation order for the communities of Twin Peaks, Rim Forest, Blue Jay, Agua Fria, Deer Lodge Park, Sky Forest, Cedar Glen and the majority of Lake Arrowhead have been reduced to voluntary evacuation effective 12:00 p.m. on October 28, 2007.

- The area will be open to residents and re-entry passes will not be issued and are not required.

- Mandatory Evacuations for all areas from Heaps Peak to Snow Valley remain in effect.

- Voluntary Evacuations for Crestline, Lake Gregory, Cedar Pines Park, and Valley of Enchantment remain in effect.

- Voluntary Evacuations--remainder of Lake Arrowhead, Cedar Glen, Valley of Enchantment, Cedar Pines Park.

Road Closures:
- All highways west of Big Bear Dam: 138, 18 and 330.Hwy 18 to 40th St., 330 bottom, Highland to top.

- Residents may leave via the highways but cannot go back into these areas. However, the Slide fire has crossed Hwy 18 in Running Springs.
